Myth 1: "The robot operates on its own"
Fact: the robot is a high-performance tool — 100% controlled by the surgeon, in real time, from start to finish. It replicates the surgeon's hand movements with millimetric precision, filters involuntary tremors, and provides three-dimensional high-resolution vision.
Myth 2: "It's a recent, unproven technique"
Fact: robotic surgery in cardiology has existed for over 20 years, with thousands of published studies evaluating its safety and efficacy. In Brazil, there are already more than 200 robotic platforms installed.
Myth 3: "It's more dangerous than conventional surgery"
Fact: when properly indicated and performed by a trained, certified team, robotic surgery delivers results comparable or superior to conventional surgery, with the added benefits of less trauma and faster recovery.
