Completed specialization training in Cardiovascular Surgery at the Real Benemérita Sociedade Portuguesa de Beneficência (Dr. Januário de Souza's team) and further training in Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. Practices Cardiac Surgery at Hospital Albert Einstein (São Paulo – SP) and Hospital Moriah (São Paulo – SP) as part of Dr. Robinson Poffo's team. Has experience in Intensive Care, having worked in this field at Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo, in units coordinated by Prof. Dr. Salomon Rojas.

Practices as a cardiovascular surgeon in Joinville – SC and São Paulo – SP. Performs cardiac surgery in adults with coronary, valvular, congenital, and aortic conditions. Focuses his studies on robotic, video-assisted, and endovascular cardiac surgery.

Serves as a cardiovascular surgeon at Hospital Dona Helena, Hospital Hans Dieter Schmidt, Hospital Unimed Litoral Camboriú – SC, and Centro Hospitalar Unimed de Joinville – SC. Focus areas: aortic disease, cerebral protection and perfusion, postoperative care for major surgeries, endovascular aortic procedures, percutaneous aortic valve implantation, and structural heart disease.

Continuous training and technical standardization

The Instituto Poffo team actively participates in training programs, including platform-specific robotic certification — a requirement that ensures every team member is qualified for the specific technology used in each procedure.

Dr. Robinson Poffo also trains other surgeons through the Robotic Cardiac Academy™, including international cooperation such as the implementation of the robotic cardiac surgery program at Fundación Favaloro, in Argentina.
